Post Your Search for Photos on Free Genealogical Sites

This picture is a copy of a copy (of a copy of a copy) of a tin-plate picture of Jody's great-great-great grandfather.
Imagine our surprise when a stranger emailed it to us because of an inquiry we had put on a website!

Today, the woman who sent it to us is a cherished "cousin" with her own ties to us -- and obviously this is now one of
our family's treasured images. In fact, it is the only picture that we know of  ever taken of Isaac Shuart Webster. We
would never have found it, had we not asked strangers for Webster photos.
Maybe Uncle Al Can Help.

Don't forget Uncle Al. You'd be surprised what photos Al has. His mom wasn't the sort to display old
photos of people she had never met, but she did put them away for safekeeping. Al found them after she
died and took them to his house. Now those pictures are in a shoe box in his closet, waiting for the day
he has time to "go through them."

Sound familiar? Al could be anyone's uncle. Or brother. (Or maybe you're an Al?)

We were given several key photos from our Uncle Gene, once we asked ALL known family members
to share ANY photo of ANY family member.

The genealogical community is a sharing one. Ask and you may receive! The only thing we would add is, be very clear in your query, including
dates and places of interest. By the way... Do you have a Webster photo to share? Please do!

This photo was a great find in the book "The History of Cass County, Michigan", which we purchased from a small historical library in Cassopolis,
Michigan. We never expected, when we bought the book, that we would find this image in it of the Wright Family Homestead, one of the first farms
established in LaGrange, Michigan. The pioneer settlers who built it were Jody's great-great-great-great grandparents!
